Flowers my sweet husband brought home for me.

Hello Strangers!

I have been MIA for a while I know, but I promise to do better. So much has been going this last year.  I have been able to do a lot of crafting though. As I mentioned in my last post, I had started doing project life. I absolutely love it!  I've been having so much fun doing this format.
I've also been fortunate to be able to go to a crop once a month with a great group of ladies at a church in my area. They are 12 hour crops. Along with those, we have an annual "Crop for a Cure" in my town. This is a 3 day event that is wonderful! All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
I am still involved in a monthly card swap and recently joined a new embellishment swap as well. Our swap for this month was today. The  theme for our ATCs was Anything Goes with an element of paint and canvas. The embellishment for this month was flowers. It's always a lot of fun going to the swaps and receiving such beautiful artwork from my fellow crafters. They are all such a talented group.
I got an IPad for Christmas.
I really  think it will be so much easier for me to post more projects on here. t will be a breeze to take a picture and instantly download it to here to my blog.
Well, I hope all of you are having a wonderful beginning to 2013, and I plan on keeping up with my blogging more. I promise!
Thanks, and Happy da

Project Life

Hey everyone!
I know its been forever since Ive blogged on here. But, I'm back!
I recently started Project Life and am really enjoying it. Ive been taking pictures and saving little mementos of things that are part of our everyday life.
I ordered page protectors from Becky Higgins. They come in several different templates which I really like. Because I couldn't wait to get started,  Ive done a few pages with the We Are Memory Keepers page protectors. I like them too and will use them as well.
As soon as I get a few more pages done with the BH protectors, I'll post some pictures to show you.
I joined an ATC, Tag and Card swap last October. It is so much fun and the items I get to bring home that the others in the swap make are awesome.
Another thing that I have done is a wall piece for my sisters Sunday school classroom. Below is a picture. I really like the way it turned out.

Hello again!

Yes, Im here!  Im so sorry it has taken me so long to post on here. The holidays were wonderful. Each year Mark and I switch holidays with our families. This year we had Christmas with mine and Thanksgiving with his.  We celebrated Thanksgiving in Houston. Marks dad had surgery 2 days before. Although it was different than any Thanksgiving Ive ever had, it was a blessing that Mark and I were able to be there with his Mom and sister.
As for projects and crafts, Ive been pretty bust as well. I joined an ATC swap in September and just recently added a tag and card swap to the list. Busy, busy, busy! But... oh so fun!
Ive been able to attend several Friday night crops these last few months as well. The girls are great and we have so much fun.
These are just a few things Ive made in the last few months. I have bunches more, but I have to download them. Ill do it this weekend, I promise!
The cards are from a make and take at my local scrapbook store.
The candy treat sleeves were alot of fun to make. I used skittles and M&Ms. YUM!
I recently got hooked on Prisma pencils and Gamsol. This was my first attempt.
Well Ill be back soon with new projects and pictures to post.
Happy Scrapbooking!!!

Happy Wednesday!

Hello everyone! Its November already! Where has the time gone? Ive been pretty busy in my craft room these past few months. I also got to go to a 3 day crop with some friends. It was awesome and so much fun.
Ive been working on cards, layouts, and other fun stuff to hopefully be able to do some craft fairs in the near future.  A local scrapbook store has crops every Friday night and Ive been going to those as much as I can. They are so much fun. We usually have some kind of crazy fun challenge where we are given papers and embellishments that are all mixed and matched. We then have to make something out of them. Sometimes its a tag or an 8x8 layout or even an ATC card. Boy! does that get the creativity juices flowing!! I have one of the challenge pictures below. This one was alot easier. We had papers and items that were cohesive to Halloween. If you are ever in Charleston SC, stop by Scrap Stamp Ink in Summerville. Karla is awesome and so much fun.
Ive posted some pictures of a few things Ive been working on. Take a peek and let me know what you think.
Thanks! and Happy scrapping!!!!

Hello everyone!

I know its been a while since Ive posted anything on here, but rest assured, I have a bunch of stuff to share that Ive been working on lately.
I recently sold several things to a gift shop locally. Its so neat to walk in and see my work on display for sale. I am having so much creating for the shop.
Today, I got back from a weekend crop here in my town. It was my first crop that was all weekend long. BOY!, was it fun!!!
I won a few door prizes as well. Awesome! Everyone that knows me will tell you that it takes me forever to do layouts. I like to really think about what I want to put on my layout, then actually putting it together takes me awhile. Well, I got 11 pages and 2 cards done this weekend. I know it doesnt sound like much, but for me, Its great. LOL
I will take some pictures and post them as soon as I can.
Today was also the monthly ATC swap that I am in. The theme was breast cancer awareness. they were all so amazing. The group of ladies that are in the swap are so talented. Im so tickled that they allow me to be a part of the group.
Here are a few things that Ive made lately.....

This is a gift card like the ones that I created and made for the gift shop. I made them in Palmetto blue, Carolina and Clemson colors, and a fun Pink and black. They are 3x3 and come with envelopes.

These are some cards I made at my local scrapbook store, Scrap, Stamp, Ink. They were a make and take celebrating National Cardmaking Day. These are A2 size.
This was alot of fun. I went to a Friday night crop at Scrap, Stamp, Ink, and we were given a bag that had several items in them that didnt match anything. We had to make an ATC card out of the supplies in the bags we recieved. we were able to used other items as well, but everything in the bag had to used. With a little spritz, ink, embossing powder and alot of imagination, this is what I came up with.
These are some mini crocheted flowers I made. I saw several pictures on here that had them on layouts and cards. I havent crocheted in years, but thought I would break out the old hook and give them a try. I really like them. I even used several on a layout this weekend at the crop.
Well, let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!!

CKC Charlotte

Hey everyone!
Yesterday two friends and I went up to Charlotte NC to the CKC convention. It was so much fun!  I got so many fun things at some awesome prices. Cant wait to start playing with them all. If you have never been, you should!
On the way back home we passed a Hobby Lobby and decided we HAD to stop there too. LOL
Ive been wanting to get some of the embellishments called Candi. They are from a company in the UK. I never ordered any because I just didnt want to order anything from so far away. Well..... They were there yesterday! I was so excited. Cant wait to use them.
Yesterday was a very long day, but so much fun and soooo worth it. If you have never been to one, Find one near you and go! You will have a ball!
Happy Scrapping!

Thomas Griffin Cancer Fund

I hope this note finds everyone well. As you look to the left of my page, you will find a link to a site called Give Forward. Thomas Griffin  is my father-in-law. He is fighting a battle with a rare form of cancer. He will be traveling to Houston in the next few weeks for a six week round of radiation followed by surgery. He and his wife will be facing many expenses while there, both medically and personally ( lodging, meals, transportation, etc.). This is a wonderful site that allows us to reach out to friends and family to share his story. Where anyone who would like to help with their expenses can do so.
If you would like to help, that would be a blessing. If you are unable, every prayer that is said for him, is just as valuable to him and the family.

As an Independent Consultant for Thirty-One gifts, I am doing a fundraiser to help with their costs. All commissions from  my sales will be given to "Mom and Dad" Griffin. if you would like to make a purchase, please go to my site and click on the event : Fundraiser for Thomas Griffin.

Thank you all of my scrapping friends!!!

Hello!

Hi there! I hope this new post finds everyone doing well. Ive been busy making some fun things lately. Ive been cropping with some friends and having a great time.
Im so excited! Some friends and I are going to the CKC convention in Charlotte in a few weeks. Cant wait to see some new things, and of course.....SHOP!!!
Ive been pretty busy in my scrapbook studio these past few weeks. I finally got the 50 States cartridge that Ive been wanting for so long. Ive made some really neat things with it using vinyl. Pictures to come soon.
I also got the car decals cartridge the other day. I havent opened it yet, but cant wait to make some fun stuff with it.
Ive posted a few pictures of things I have been working on. I hope you like them.
have a super weekend!!!

Kathy
I made this neat monogram on a frame for some friends that were getting married. I made it using vinyl and attaching it right on the glass.
This is a picture of a shelving unit in my new scrap studio. I love the different size cubbies that it has.

This is another picture from my new room. Its a book case and Jetmax cubes all inside the double closet. I really love this. It gives me so much more space in the actual room. I used paper clips to hang some embellishments on the hanger rack that was already installed.
Hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think!

Hi Y'all!

Hello from hot, sunny South Carolina!
I worked in my scrap/craft room pretty much all day today. I cant show you what I was working on just yet though, because they are cards for a swap that I will be in next weekend. Its a secret swap where no one knows who made the cards until after they are all judged for the best one. Its alot of fun. So I will post them as soon as the swap is over. I love the way they came out.
These 2 cards that I have posted for you to see are ones I made a few months ago. Tell me what you think.
The first one is a card I made in a class that taught us how to make these tear bears. So cute! I will definately be making more tear bears in the future.
The next one is one I made for a swap in April. I used several different techniques on it. Hope you like it.

Come back soon and see what other things Im working on.
Oh yeah!! Ive opened an Etsy store recently. Check it out when you get a chance. The name...My Scrappy Cupcake....of course :)
Thanks for stopping by!
